Watched the season finale of Ted Lasso tonight. Best show I’ve seen in years. Can’t wait for season 2.

I pulled the trigger on a Pro Display XDR. It’s amazing for photo and video editing, of course. But what made it worth every penny is being able to view 3 full size code panels in Xcode while still showing both toolbars.

Blows my mind that you can buy a 16TB disk for just over $300 these days. The internal mechanism is a 7200 RPM enterprise class Exos X16 to boot.

I talk about switching from a dual desktop/laptop setup to a single 16″ MacBook Pro for app development in my latest video.

Shout out to hardware from Sonnet Technologies, Promise, and CalDigit for making the transition easier.
Finished importing 584GB of video for a project. Had three cameras going, plus separate audio from an external mic attached to my iPhone.
Can’t say I’ve ever seen two NSAutoresizingMaskLayoutConstraints colliding with each other. This should be an interesting bug to work through.
Taking some time to enjoy a peaceful summer day in #PureMichigan.

The DTK arrived this morning… So this is what it’d be like if an iPad Pro ran macOS.
First step: getting XRG going.
Now that WWDC is over (kudos to everyone at Apple!), we can now return to our regularly scheduled political posts.
Also joined the micro.blog meetup this afternoon. Wish it could have been a proper lunch with great discussion, but it was still nice to see everyone even though we have a virtual WWDC.
Watched 13 #WWDC20 videos today and I feel completely spent. So much great content though!
Wow… My DTK application was accepted and some sweet Apple Silicon is on it’s way.
Guess I’ll plan to check out Big Sur tomorrow…

That new Xcode icon…
Here goes nothing…

Watched this year’s WWDC keynote with my 9 and 7 yo daughters. They loved seeing the iOS improvements.
I’ve been banging my head against a problem I was seeing in a new macOS app I’ve been using to learn SwiftUI. Moved the same code into a Swift Playground and it works immediately as expected. Hopefully WWDC brings a more reliable SwiftUI implementation on the Mac.

Just pushed out XRG 2.8.2 with some bug fixes. Get it while the gettin’s good.
This bird keeps knocking on my office window. He’s been doing this for days now, and several hours at a time. Doesn’t get spooked by me being right inside. Wish I knew what he was thinking…
It’s been awhile, but nailed another perfect month. Maybe I’ll try it again for the month of May.
