The basements…shiver. They were so captivating to explore.
The Follow My Delivery feature that UPS has now is a pretty cool way to watch your packages on delivery day. However, I’m finding myself having a love/hate relationship with it. “Getting closer… NO, don’t turn that way!!”
This room was the epitome of Kirkbride design, with expansive windows letting in a lot of light, especially for the time period.
There was graffiti all over the building interiors. Even though they keep the buildings locked, people always find a way. On the plus side, it added a lot of character.
This is a picture of…a wall. I’m posting it though because I really like the texture as well as the lines from the infrastructure and tile.
You don’t see these half-doors anymore. My grandparents had one in their house, and this shot reminded me of visiting them while growing up.
This was a fun shot to capture. Our photography group was just hanging out in this main hallway of the children’s ward (notice the bright colors on the wall). I wanted to get a photo of this room, but didn’t want to disturb anyone else. I decided to make them part of the image by making it a long exposure. I liked the ghost-like qualities of the resulting image.
Spending the day at the soccer fields.
Hard to believe this is just 10 minutes from home. There are some real perks to living in Michigan. #shotoniphone
Planning to buy a Series 4, but completely torn on the 40mm vs 44mm sizes. I’ve never owned an Apple Watch before, but when trying them on in years past it felt like the 42 was the best option. 44mm looks like it might cross the line into “too big” territory though.
Anyone want a drink? Lead paint no extra charge…
Surprised we didn’t see an AirPower charging mat at today’s event. New phones look okay. New watch looks great.
We drove Route 66 end to end about 10 years ago and I can’t wait to do it again. This reminded me of something you might see along the way on that road trip.
I’m not sure why this room stood out to me. I think it was just seeing the Oscar the Grouch-style trashcan inside.
?
The puzzle pieces in the halls of the children’s ward struck me. Mental illness doesn’t just affect adults. This was one of the only photos from the day that was taken without a tripod. It would have taken a minute to wrangle the tripod into a layout to get this low, so I decided to be lazy and capture it hand-held.
This was called the fern room. What was quite amazing was that this room wasn’t even on the first floor. It was on a higher floor, and yet somehow some seeds from a fern managed to find its way inside.
I talk about Canon’s newly announced EOS R: https://youtu.be/F3fKN6cwXII
Had to swap my SIM card in order to finally get WiFi calling to work on our Cricket plan. So refreshing to have cell “reception” at home for the first time ever.
I had a little fun in this long exposure, walking in and out of the frame to give a little more presence in the shot. I’m really curious which post will get more likes, this one or the previous shot of the same room without me.
